ADCG names Sowmya Kandregula to Advisory Board

The Association for Cyber and Data Governance, a professional association that provides data governance, data privacy, data protection, and cyber compliance information and education to professionals in the financial services industry, has appointed Sowmya Tejha Kandregula to the Advisory Board Member effective immediately.

Sowmya Tejha Kandregula, a senior data governance leader with over 14 years of experience, joins a growing advisory group that leads thought leadership for the association.

“Mr. Kandregula is a wonderful addition to the ADCG Advisory Board,” says Carlos Solari, chair of the ADCG advisory board and Vice President of Product Engineering at SecureG as well as the former Chief Information Officer in the White House under George W. Bush. “His impressive track record of successfully delivering client solutions for large and complex projects spanning multiple domains across different geographies will be an enormous value addition to the association.”

Sowmya’s recent emphasis has been focusing on growing a set of data demands including the changing landscape of privacy laws such as General Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), increased movement of data onto the cloud, and a greater dependency on quality governed data for machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions.

Sowmya is currently employed as a Senior Manager – Data Governance, at Cognizant Technology Solutions providing consulting services at AstraZeneca. He previously consulted with NBC Universal, Wells Fargo, AstraZeneca, Bank of America, Royal Bank of Canada, JP Morgan & Chase, Fannie Mae, Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), TransUnion, Gilead Sciences, Colt Technology Services – London and ANZ Bank – Singapore.

On a regular basis, Sowmya conducts seminars, webinars, and training sessions for aspiring information management professionals on a pro bono basis. He has mentored over 800 professionals across the globe. He has been invited to speak at international conferences about the growing importance of data governance, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. He has also published many articles in various technology journals.
